We are very excited that our Bid Director Michael Quinn is attending one of the most significant events in the European cultural calendar – the prestigious European Culture Forum in Brussels on 19th and 20th April.
This flagship European Commission event is held once every two years and aims to raise the profile of European cultural cooperation. The Forum is also a fantastic opportunity for discussion and debate on the contribution that culture can make to innovation, jobs and growth and social cohesion.
The event, which takes place over two days, will also include a number of interesting break-away sessions. One of the more important sessions for the Three Sisters 2020 bid will be the Culture for Cities and Regions: 30 Years of European Capital of Culture and other initiatives.
We are also delighted that Mary McCarthy, Chair of Culture Ireland and one of our Bid Consultants, will be addressing the forum on the topic of How Culture can Overcome the Fragmentation of Society.
Why not do your bit for the Bid and ensure that the Three Sisters is crowned the European Capital of Culture 2020?
