Get your autograph books out and get ready! Three Sisters 2020 will appear on RTÉ’s popular Nationwide programme on Wednesday, June 1st.
A number of our fantastic cultural champions will be interviewed by the very talented Nationwide and RTÉ presenter Mary Kennedy, about the Three Sisters 2020 bid for European Capital of Culture. This special episode will air on RTÉ One at 7pm.
One of the highlights of the show will be Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists – the 60-strong choir of Presentation Secondary School. They were filmed performing live at Kilkenny Castle.
The show also includes brilliant interviews from founder of Oscar nominated Cartoon Saloon Tom Moore, (Kilkenny) and founding member of Waterford Spraoi International Street Arts Festival, and member of the Arts Council, Miriam Dunne. Lead singer of Irish folk group Corner Boy, Wexford cultural champion – and our own Three Sisters 2020 Bid Team member- Mick D’Arcy is also interviewed!
Irish playwright and founder of Red Kettle Theatre, Jim Nolan and independent curator based in Callan, Co. Kilkenny, Hollie Kearns, will also feature while the Polish community in Waterford also gives a terrific performance.
It’s set to be an action-packed programme, so whatever you’re doing on June 1st at 7pm, make sure you are watching Nationwide on RTÉ One.
